North America is intended in the first place for students in Secondary schools in East Africa and may also be of great value to students in higher institutions of learning. It has nine chapters ranging from the physical geography of the continent of North America, New York as a Metropolitan study, the St. Lawrence Sea Way, the Cotton Belt, Southern California as development of a semi Arid area, Canadian Prairies, British Columbia, The Tennessee Valley Authority and finally New England.

Sections have been arranged according to the teaching order followed by most geography teachers in secondary schools. There are several statistical diagrams which if interpreted properly can help a student to explain the geographical concepts with minimum difficult.
